Non-profits seek volunteers

Corning — Here are details of several area non-profits which are seeking volunteers. Guthrie Clinic needs volunteers to transport patients to offices within the building and to deliver mail. Flood Educator is seeking volunteers to use a 3D flood plain model and do hands-on education at conservation field days, fairs, classrooms, and other settings. Training will be provided. Souther Tier Tobacco Awareness is seeking volunteers shorter than 5-foot-6 to wear the Samantha/Sam the Skunk costume and present anti-smoking awareness programs. Corning Hospital is seeking volunteers for various positions. The volunteer positions are for those 55 years and older. Those interested should contact RSVP at 607-936-4662 or
