SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Schuyler Hospital is starting the new year off with a new policy. No tobacco use of any kind is permitted on hospital property in or outside. The change is part of the hospital's efforts to demonstrate a commitment to healthy living. Classes have been offered to employees looking to quit smoking and more classes are expected that will be open to the public. The hospital is also offering tool-kits to help employees, patients and visitors avoid tobacco use. The kits include rubber bands and gum. The tobacco ban applies to all Schuyler Hospital facilities.
