The Southern Tier Tobacco Awareness Community Partnership (STTAC) is pleased to announce two new staff members who will run their organization. Stacy Gerow, has been selected to serve as the new STTAC Coordinator. Stacy has a BS in Health Education and an MS in Community Health. She has considerable experience with non-profit organizations concerned with addictions, and with health education in the schools. Shawna Osborn brings a wide range of skills to the position of Field Specialist, with a background in health and technical acuity. The Southern Tier Tobacco Awareness Community Partnership provides community education, mobilization, and advocacy to encourage the adoption of policies regarding “point of sale” and tobacco free parks and entryways leading to healthier communities through the denormalization of tobacco product use. The Southern Tier Tobacco Awareness Community Partnership is a three county coalition (Chemung, Steuben, Schuyler) funded by a grant from the Tobacco Control Program of the NYS DOH. Members include: Chemung County Health Department, Steuben County Public Health; Schuyler County Public Health, ArnotHealth, Schuyler Hospital, Ira Davenport, American Cancer Society, Elmira City School District, Trinity, Steuben Council on Addictions, Schuyler Council on Alcoholism and Addictions, Steuben Rural Health Network, Chemung Valley Rural Health Network.Institute for Human Services
