CORNING, N.Y. -- This week was the start of a new academic year for Corning Community College and the start of a new era of leadership for CCC as well. Dr. Katherine Douglass was named the sixth president of Corning Community College on July 1st and brought with her some new additions and changes. CCC has established an Athletics Hall of Fame that will include athletes, coaches and contributors. And the campus is also now tobacco free with college offering help to anyone who wants to kick the habit. "We have a variety of products available at no charge. Nicotine patches, gum, so that we can help our constituents here on campus both employees and students make it through their seven or eight hours on campus without the need for tobacco," Douglass said. Douglass also said that she is working closely with the Board of Trustees and development foundation to study both the finances and feasibility of dorms on the campus.YNN News
