Weis Supermarket fined for allegedly selling tobacco to a minor

ELMIRA, N.Y. -- An Elmira supermarket has been fined for allegedly selling tobacco to a minor. Chemung County health officials say a vendor at Weis Supermarket on North Main Street was caught selling the item to the minor in February. They say it happened during a routine compliance check. The supermarket has been fined $550.
